Adults and children cannot seem to get enough vegetables these days. This is partially due to the lack of vitamins in them from depleted soil and increasing pesticides used.
Spaghetti Sauce:
1 jar of organic tomato sauce (or homemade)
1/2 cup of sliced carrots
1/2 cup of spinach or kale
sprinkle of oregano fresh basil and parsley
When it has cooked down puree with food processor
*if your child likes a chunkier sauce then add some sauteed zucchini and mushrooms as well.

Also--finely chopped cauliflower or peeled and shredded zucchini or yellow squash completely disappears in mac n cheese :)
ReplyDeleteI've never thought to add carrots but will try it. Spinach goes perfectly in spaghetti sauce - blending it a good idea so the kids don't spot it.
