Kiwi and Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

My family loves drinking lemonade. It is such a refreshing drink but it does require a lot of sugar to sweeten. These are some alternatives to using white sugar:
Agave has a low glycemic index

Honey contains minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate. And vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3

Xylitol helps prevent cavities

.... KIWI LEMONADE....
1/2 cup of agave 0r 2/3 cup organic granulated sugar
4 cups water
4 kiwis, peeled
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 6 lemons, including pulp)

In a pitcher, mix the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. In a blender or food processor, puree the kiwi. Add the pureed kiwi and lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine.
*****add some frozen strawberries for ice cubes. It looks fancy and when the strawberry starts to melt it will makes strawberry lemonade...my daughter's absolute favorite drink!!

Organic Hair Oil GIVEAWAY -A Natural Dry Hair Treatment

Organic Hair Oils

Organic Hair Oils with Coconut Oil, Jojoba, Shea Butter, Carrot Seend oil and organic essential oils
Coconut oil has been used for hair treatment in coconut producing countries such as India and the Philippines for thousands of years.
Living in Hawaii and constantly being in the sun, pool, and ocean can easily dry out your hair.  I was looking for a treatment that would be more natural than what you can buy in your local store. Tropical Traditions coconut hair oil works great and has the most lovely scent.

Tropical Traditions has formulated three different hair oils using organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil along with other high quality organic oils known to nourish hair. Along with the base of organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, they included organic jojoba oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic rosehip oil, organic shea butter, and organic carrot seed oil in each formulation. Two of the formulations are scented with the highest quality organic essential oils available, imported from France: Rosemary and Lavender. There are no other ingredients besides these high quality organic oils: NO SILICONES, NO SULFATES, and NO ALCOHOLS.

Suggested Uses:

For dry scalp: Rub into hair and scalp at least 30 minutes before showering, or before bed at night. Wear a shower cap or towel to protect bedding.
* I use it for a conditioner: As a deep conditioner, work through scalp and hair before washing. Leave in for 15 minutes to overnight. For a leave-in conditioner, work a small amount through wet hair before styling and drying.

Lose the FAT with The Next Grilleration George Foreman

Family Size Next Grilleration
Everyone loves to grill in the summertime.  Living in Hawaii we grill all year round.  But, cleaning a large grill can be horrible and diificult, which is why I have gone through so many grills.
The George Foreman GRP4B Next Grilleration™ Removable Plate Grill does the same great grilling job but with easy clean-up.  It's lightweight, easy to store, and a cinch to clean since the plates are removable. These plates can even go in the dish washer.

I decideed to test my George Foreman out with three turkey burgers for lunch after a long swim at the beach.  While my husband made a salad I was able to get the burgers on the grill and in a short amount of time they were done.  I was happy that they were thoroughly cooked without being dry.   Turkey is already pretty lean, but the george Foreman Grill is designed to reove the fat with it's patented slope design.  This will come in handy when we are grilling regular hamburgers and steaks.  It also has a non stick coating so you don't have to add excess oils.

  • 72 square inch grilling surface lets you cook for 4
  • 2 dishwasher-safe removable grill plates for easy clean up
  • Temperature indicator light indicates plates are at grilling temperature
  • Integrated handle is ergonomic & compact
  • George Tough™ Triple non-stick coating is durable & eliminates need for oil
  • Patented sloped grill design knocks out the fat
  • 1 ½” floating hinge works to accommodate thick cuts of meat
  • Embedded heat elements provide consistent heat & rapid recovery time
  • Dishwasher-safe removable plates with cool-touch handles for easy clean up
  • 2 Plates included: 2 ribbed grill plates
  • George Foreman Cooking“New results of independent testing show that the George Foreman Grill removes up to 42% of fat from quarter-pound burgers made with 80/20 ground chuck beef, translating to a reduction of approximately 89 calories per burger!
The  George Foreman grill is at a deal for summer cooking.
