Undercover Spaghetti Sauce with Vegetables

Adults and children cannot seem to get enough vegetables these days. This is partially due to the lack of vitamins in them from depleted soil and increasing pesticides used.

I found that giving my daughter raw veggies but also adding them into sauces, smoothies, etc. would ensure that she would be getting enough daily. Also, if your child doesn't like to eat his/her veggies, and meal time is stressful, then this is an easy recipe that your kids can enjoy.
Spaghetti Sauce:

1 jar of organic tomato sauce (or homemade)
1/2 cup of sliced carrots
1/2 cup of spinach or kale
sprinkle of oregano fresh basil and parsley

When it has cooked down puree with food processor
*if your child likes a chunkier sauce then add some sauteed zucchini and mushrooms as well.

  1. Good b/c I'm making sauce tomorrow and my kids hate spinach so I will add bit and see how it goes...

  2. Thanks for the recipe. The new, smaller header looks great too…the same but smaller.

  3. Nice! Love that it gets nearly every color of veggie in there!
