Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake DVD

Little girls just seem to love spinning and twirling in bright colored tutus. My little one loves her new ballet class on Saturday mornings. She also likes to watch professional ballerinas dance. "Oh, how graceful," she will exclaim.

This is why I am a big fan of Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake. Prima Princessa who is an animated fairy ballerina, guides children and magically transports them to see the Paris Opera Ballet perform select segments of Swan Lake. The children in the video then return home to learn simple ballet steps which are playfully shown mixed into colorful montages of toys, animals, children and young dancers from the School of American Ballet.

My daughter was captivated by the music and performance, she especially liked the parts where she could get up and start to dance and learn new ballet moves. This is an educational, enjoyable, and interactive video that I would highly recommend.

Le Creuset Oval Au Gratin CSN Stores Review

Oh Le Creuset-The king of cookware! As you know, I really like their collection. CSN stores (there are over 200 in all) sells a vast array of Le Creuset. This lovely Le Creuset Stoneware 1-Quart Oval Au Gratin in Cherry is the latest to my collection sent to me from CSN stores. This stoneware dish can cook more than just Au Gratin. I use mine for many mini dishes, such as my artichoke dip, gourmet macaroni and cheese, mini lasagna, and even desserts. It has a wide and shallow shape that exposes the maximum surface area of the food to the heat. It can be used on the stove top for frying or in the oven. What I like best is that this dish is so pretty that I don't have to re-plate it before serving. I just take my culinary creations out of the oven and viola, ready to serve. It's also freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.

I just love my little dish, especially the bright cherry color!

Organic Strawberry Shortcake Recipe: The 365 Way!

Yummy Organic Strawberry Shortcake!

This is a more traditional recipe for strawberry shortcake. There are many other recipes, even healthier ones, using whole wheat, coconut creme for the whipped topping, agave for the sugar, and even raw shortcake.

After stopping by Whole Foods in Kahala, we picked up some essential ingredients. First, we made the shortcake using 365 organic flour (unbleached). They were such a wonderful buttery and crisp texture.

Next, we combined organic heavy whipping cream with 365 Organic powdered sugar and 365 vanilla. Make sure the bowl is cold before whipping.

For the strawberries, I cut out a lot of time by buying frozen berries like these 365 package of strawberries. Dice them up with some sugar or agave. I also bought the frozen cherries because they make a great alternative for individuals who are allergic to strawberries. Whatever is left over blend in your morning smoothie!

And...there you have it! This is a mouth watering treat!

It was amazing, especially with some high tea on the lanai! Good thing I have hula tonight to help me burn some of these calories!!

Some Great Eco-friendly Thursday Finds!

I buy 365 Tissues. They cost $1.99 which was the same price I found at Walmart. They are made from 100% recycled paper, hypo-allergenic, whitened without chlorine bleach, fragrance free, and made in the USA! I also like the pretty leaf design!!

Something new that I found was their 100% recycled Paper Towels for $3.99. Made from 80% post-consumer content, together we are saving trees by using recycled paper rather than virgin wood pulp. Most paper towels are bleached with chlorine, including some brands made from recycled fiber. The 365 towels are whitened using a safer, environmentally preferred, non-toxic bleach. Or better yet, they make paper towels without whitening that are a tan color.
