Play It Safe: The Board Game plus free shipping!

"Every day, 17,000 children sustain injuries that could have been prevented; and preventable childhood injury is the leading cause of death and disability for kids ages 1 to 14."

The Play It Safe game can help prevent these tragedies while families have a fun game night together.

We sat down as a family to try out the Play It Safe family board game the other night. I thought that this would be fun for my daughter and teach her safety tips as well.  Of course, I assumed that my husband and I were there just to help her.  Boy, was I in for a surprise.  Yes, I got quite a few answers wrong as did my husband, so we learned as much or more than she did.
"I can't believe that the surfer got this answer wrong!"
The game covers all pertinent issues dealing with safety, such as swimming, camping, fire, first aid, etc. This is a valuable, educational, and fun game designed for children and definitely for parents too.

We had a great time playing this game and my daughter keeps asking to play it again.  My only recommendation is if you are playing with children younger than 6 to hand pick the questions ahead of time, otherwise they will likely get frustrated or possibly scared.  This is what we did and it worked out great.
What it includes:

*There are extra features like the fingerprint and DNA ID cards, fire escape plan, Internet interface, personal ID cards, and 1st-Aid guide.

*It's chock full of safety questions with detailed answers (300 for kids, 300 for adults) that really could save lives.

*We keep it fun for kids by making a third of their questions about wilderness survival and dangerous animals.

*Adults will be surprised at how much they don't know about safety - the kids will surely win! (Um, yes, this is what happened in our case:)

*It's green, using recycled paper and vegetable based ink --This is a Mom's Best Bet!
Guess what?  Play It Safe is offering a free shipping discount code for all Mom's Best Bets readers - frnship

  1. Aloha Pat,

I'm really glad you and your family enjoyed the Play It Safe game :) Your daughter will probably like the Fingerprint/DNA ID kit and also try making a personal ID card for her online (a fun little creative activity).

Well, if I'm ever in Hawaii I'd like to request a surfing lesson; of course I'd prefer to go in the middle of the day to avoid the sharks! :)

Thanks again and wishing you and yours the best (bets),

    Randy

  2. What a great review! I'm glad you mentioned that parents should handpick the questions. I could imagine some of these questions being scary.

  4. I tried not make the questions too scary for kids, but it is a great idea to review the questions. You could also try to select the most appropriate - if you live on and island then the water danger questions would be great. There are also a series of "Stranger Danger" questions, that are marked for easier identification and parents should review these to decide if desired for children.

    Play It Safe all :)

    Randy
