I love to stroll around the makeup departments of Nordstrom and Sephora. I like Nordstrom because everything is displayed beautifully and in it's appointed place. I like Sephora because it's jammed pack full of every colorful beaty item ready to try. One line that I have seen in both stores is Perricone MD. I have to admit that seeing MD on a skin care line definitely gives it clout!
Do you have Acne, Redness, Discoloration & Damage, Dry & Sensitive Skin, Enlarged Pores, Lines & Wrinkles, or Loss of Elasticity? Dr. Perricone has products to treat all of these known skin issues. I have been using Dr. Perricone's Skin Clear Cleanser for a few weeks now. I decided to try this particular product because I have had a few readers email me about acne medications.
"This deep-cleaning acne cleanser helps to clear troubled skin by reducing excess sebum and eliminating surface contaminations. Skin Clear Cleanser contains the anti-aging ingredient DMAE, which helps to firm and tone skin. Green Tea Extract calms and clarifies while Allantoin helps encourage skin renewal."
Alpha Lipoic Acid is the ultimate antioxidant that diminishes fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration, refines skin texture, reduces pore size, puffiness, imperfections and uneven skin tone. Salycyllic Acid unclogs pores, clears acne breakouts, while Eucalyptus Leaf Oil is an anti-bacterial to combat breakouts and blemishes and cools and calms inflamed skin
I liked his use of DMAE, and Alpha Lipoic Acid. I am knowledgeable about both so I was very happy to put them on my skin. Perricone MD Skin Clear Cleanser penetrates the skin and really cleans your face and pores. I liked this product and now know why it gets such positive reviews. My only critique is that it does contains parabens. However, many of his other products are paraben free. I have enjoyed using this cleanser and think my skin looks a bit sharper and smoother thanks to Dr. P.
You might be wondering who Dr. NV Perricone is. He is a board certified clinical and research dermatologist. A brilliant scholar, Dr. Perricone completed medical school in just 3 years, graduating with distinction. He completed his internship in Pediatrics at Yale Medical School and his Dermatology Residency at Ford Medical Center. Dr. Perricone is regarded as the Father of the Inflammation Theory of Aging. He is the author of the three New York Times # 1 Best Sellers. He believes that this inflammation is responsible for skin-related problems like breakouts, wrinkles, and loss of firmness. Dr. Perricone's holistic approach to aging treats this inflammation in three ways: through diet, nutriceutical supplements, and his award-winning line of skin care products and cosmeceuticals.

I've been having acne ridden skin almost through my teens and up till now into married life. Thank God my hubs doesn't mind. :D But it's soemthing to live with. After many visits to dermatologists, facial and beauty centres and lots of cash spent, I even took Roaccutane for a while. Now, it's improving but still have frequent breakouts on my scarred skin. Sigh. That's why I'd love to try this cleanser. :-)

I'd like to try this because it is an adult acne product. I'm in my 50's and still get acne! My skin is oily but sensitive, so I have to be careful what products I use. I like that this cleanser is designed to fight not just acne but aging signs as well.

I don't use a ton of skin products so I rely mostly on cleansers to keep my skin looking good. I like Perricone products because they aren't too harsh yet work really well. I have never tried any of their cleansers, but I suspect they will be great!
