Green Carpet Challengewritten by Lauren Milligan
"EVERYTIME she steps on to the red carpet during the awards season with husband Colin Firth (as she did last night at the Golden Globe Awards - see all the action here), new VOGUE.COM blogger Livia Firth, will be taking part in an ethical fashion experiment for us; the Green Carpet Challenge.
Livia, who runs an ethical and sustainable boutique called Eco on Chiswick High Road, has set herself the challenge to wear only ethical fashion on all the red carpets throughout the awards season - and most importantly to tell us about how her challenge is progressing in her new VOGUE.COM blog.
"I'm a bit nervous," Livia confessed. "I don't want to showcase something that is not beautiful. I mean, I'm not going to wear recycled plastic bottles and recycled newspaper!"
The challenge encompasses concerns from how the dress is made and the fabric it is created in, to where it is made and who made it - but how will Livia balance the desire to showcase the best of sustainable fashion with the desire to wow on the world's most watched red carpets."

That is so cool. I'm wondering what designs and styles she will get to wear and make us aware of at the same time. I hate awards shows, but I will definitely keep up with her blog and hopefully she will have all info up on there as the experiment unfolds.
