Zonderkidz Giveaway: My Christmas Gift

I have been collecting Christmas books for my daughter for the past couple of years now. We have a few classics but some of my favorites are from Zonderkidz. Crystal Bowman has written some wonderful children's books that help shed some light on the true meaning of Christmas. "J is for Jesus," "My Christmas Stocking," and "My Christmas Gift" are a few that Zonderkidz have sent me for review purposes. I also have bought Bowman's Thanksgiving story and a few others.

"J is For Jesus," tells the story of the candy cane. It is a lovely reminder of Jesus during this season. "My Christmas Stocking" weaves together the stocking tradition of Saint Nicholas with the true meaning of Christmas.

My daughter's favorite is "My Christmas Gift," which is a colorful rhyming board book that explores why we give each other presents. Bowman explains the Christmas story, and why God loved us so much, that he gave us his son Jesus, and the true gift of Christmas is that if we believe in and love him, we'll receive eternal life.

"It's fun to find presents under the tree and give Christmas gifts to your family. But the very best gift comes from above - It's Jesus the Savior, wrapped in God's love."

My daughter really enjoys her simplistic but beautiful books and the illustrations by Claudine Gevry are captivating and inviting. It was a pleasure to review them and I hope you and your family enjoy them as much as we do.
