There is so much "gear" available for new moms nowadays. There are strollers, swings, bouncy seats, carriers, and car seats to name a few. All of the colors and styles can be eye catching but all your baby really cares about is being close to mom.
Carrying your baby has many benefits. You can safely move with your baby when strolling down uneven sidewalks, narrow lanes, or walking up stairs.
It is very convenient- no heavy plastic car seats to carry (I did that one day...and that was it...it stayed in the car!)
