Gluten Free Homemade Pizza

My husband is not Italian but can make one Fantastico Pizza! This is a French Meadow gluten free pizza crust with organic fontina cheese, kale meatballs, homemade tomato sauce, mushrooms, organic mozzarella cheese, and black olives.

We like to experiment with different toppings and combinations and, of course, I like to add some healthiness to the mix.

The French Meadow Bakery is an excellent company that sells many products that are some of Mom's Best Bets, from healthy breads, sweet treats, to pizza crust! Their motto is "One body, One planet, Eat well." Award winning French Meadow Bakery uses top-quality all-natural ingredients to create organic, yeast-free, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher foods. Many of their products are also wheat-free, with a low glycemic index. They avoid using ingredients that contain genetically-modified organisms while also helping to support small organic farmers.

When I first tried their bread, I was certain it contained yeast. I read the ingredients twice because it had that homemade just out of the oven yeast taste. They really are yeast free because "naturally leavened bread rises slowly via yeast that occur naturally in the air. Not only is the end result delicious, naturally leavened bread is easy to digest, helps you absorb vital nutrients, and helps sustain a balance in your digestive system."

Here are some of the products that I use from them:

  • Organic Wheat & Sprouted Grain Tortilla~six grams of protein and zero grams of trans fat, these make great breakfast tortillas.

  • Sprouted Bagels with Grains as Referenced in Ezekiel 4:9~ What can I say...I'm from NY and sometimes you just need a bagel and this one will be sure to fuel your body with fiber, vitamins and minerals.

  • Sprouted 16 Grain and Seed Bread~perfect for sandwiches packed full of organic flax seed and organic sunflower seeds and some crunch!

  • Gluten-Free Pizza Crust~ are certified gluten-free, lactose free and casein free and full of flavor. They are not your ordinary crusts. They are flaky, delicate and almost pie crust like but do have a wonderful buttery flavor. The best part is no bloated pizza feeling after dinner.

  • Hemp Brownie Bites~ for a small sweet treat these brownies hit the spot and contain hemp which is a good source of omega 3's.

**check out their website.. I just spied some printable coupons
