My Happy Green Bee!

September marks the beginning of holiday festivities for me. As a child this was a time of picking apples, wearing sweaters, marveling at the changing of leaves, and smelling the aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg coming from my mother's kitchen.
Living in Hawaii, we don't have a lot of the climate reminders of autumn. Hawaii is pretty much summer all year round, but there are subtle changes in temperature that we look forward too. Even more so for us, it's exciting to cook, bake, decorate, and dress with an autumn flair.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time making homemade applesauce this morning and decorating her playroom with the signs of fall. It was also time to send her relatives some new pictures of my growing busy bee. I found a wonderful dress for our photo session from "Happy Green Bee." This company makes organic fair trade children's clothing. Their philosophy is: "comfortable, colorful, playful and ecologically responsible."
They make hats, dresses, sports wear, and tops for boys and girls. "Happy Green Bee" creations are unique with handmade quality, and feel organically soft. I really like their color stripe patterns that come in variations such as watermelon, chocolate, butterscotch, and pumpkin.
My little buzzing bee is now happy, green, and thematically fall!
