Drink More Water!
We hear this from our mothers, our doctors, and our friends. There are a lot of people walking around in a dehydrated state. People often mistake the signs of thirst for hunger and usually crave salt, (interestingly enough) which will make them even more thirsty. They might make a quick stop for a caffeine beverage or a soda, which will further dehydrate them.
The rule of thumb is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water. For example, if you weigh 120 lbs you should be drinking around 60 ounces of water a day. That is roughly 7.5 glasses of water. When you exercise your body needs more and could benefit from an electrolyte balanced drink. Before you grab a sports drink, I have a healthier and better tasting alternative: coconut water! It tastes awesome and is good for you too. It has more potassium, magnesium, and calcium than other sports drinks. The brand that is my favorite is O.N.E coconut water. Okay, I know I live where coconuts flourish and they are literally everywhere but O.N.E you can find on Amazon, in your local wholefoods or health food stores, or on their website.
When my daughter is playing outside in the hot sun we always have some on hand. They have other flavors like cashew berry, coffee berry, and acai. Coconut water is the natural way to stay hydrated and to replace lost electrolytes due to exercise or illness. It's a great thing-enjoy:)

I like the idea of coconut water, will be on a lookout for this!
