Adults and children cannot seem to get enough vegetables these days. This is partially due to the lack of vitamins in them from depleted soil and pesticides.
I found that giving my daughter raw veggies but also adding them into sauces, smoothies, etc. would ensure that she would be getting enough. Also, if your child doesn't like to eat his/her veggies, and meal time is stressful, then this is an easy recipe that your kids can enjoy.
Spaghetti Sauce:
1 jar of organic tomato sauce
1 cup of sliced carrots
1 cup of spinach or kale
sprinkle of dried/fresh oregano
sprinkle of dried/ fresh basil
When it has cooked down puree with food processor
