Fresh Laundry

A mommy's laundry basket never seems to be empty. I am always doing laundry so I want it to be clean, fresh smelling, but also chemical free. I have been more sensitive to the chemical free part when my daughter was born and have read up on living a natural lifestyle. Here are some tricks I have learned that I would love to share with you.

  1. Detergent-always fragrance free

  2. Fabric Softener-I use vinegar for whites. It works great for kitchen and bathroom laundry. For our clothing I use Mountain Green all natural lavender

  3. Unfortunately, mold and bacteria can thrive when dirty laundry sits too long. A great alternative to bleach is oregano oil and tea tree oil. A couple drops is all you need in the water when washing along with detergent. They are anti-fungal and work great.

Happy Washing

  1. Great tips! Thanks for sharing. I also have to do all unscented stuff with our kids sensitive skin. These are great idea! -Kelsee

  2. Thanks for the tips. I'll have to try the oil and I love vinegar. Vinegar cleans almost everything. I always buy fragrance free and kind of miss the smell (my kids have sensitive skin) so the oil is a great solution. Why didn't I think of that?
