Best Organic Hot dogs

I'm impressed!

I didn't think that there was an organic hot dog that could hold its own.

I've tried quite a few and never had one that tasted as good as a "regular" hot dog.

Well, I was wrong. I had a lovely cookout at the pool today and was delighted to eat my Applegate Farms organic all grass fed beef, nitrite free hot dog. It tasted great and the lemonade went perfect with it.

Happy Eating!

  1. Hey, you beat me to it..this is on my list of things to blog about. We eat those and they are the only hotdogs that don't disagree with me later on! Phoebe had one tonight for dinner, in fact.

  2. I have a question about this product and ones like it: Do you find it a hardship to afford these healthier products? How do you fit these into your food budget?

  3. Unfortunately, a lot of healthy products are very expensive. In my family we prioritize what is most important to buy organic and the rest we try and buy on sale or at our local farmer's
market. Our grocery store (Safeway) actually has quite a few organic/natural products and is sometimes cheaper than conventionally grown products. So, shop around. I have a shopping map instead of a shopping list. I know exactly what stores have the products I need to buy at lower prices (ex: frozen organic blueberries for smoothies from Costco). Items such as the hot dogs we will splurge on because we only eat them occasionally. Another tip – coupons :)
